Welcome to St. Peter's Church Anlaby

Our Beautiful Church

St. Peter's Church

St. Peter's is a warm and welcoming church situated in the suburban village of Anlaby, in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

St Peter’s is a lovely church building, but more importantly it is a ‘family’ of people. We come together to worship God, to learn more of the Christian faith, and to give fellowship and support to each other as friends. Our main purpose though is to bring God’s wonderful message to the community and share His love.

We take pride in the ways in which we welcome and try to cater for people of all ages through our various forms of worship. Traditional services include quiet spoken ‘old prayer book’ Communion services, and Morning Prayer and Holy Communion services with hymns. Our more modern ‘Praise for All’ service features a worship band and ‘big screen’ for the words to our hymns and worship songs, and any illustrated talks.

The ‘family’ of St Peter’s also aims to provide a resource for the wider community and offers a whole host of social activities and groups for all ages. Our work with children and young people is particularly flourishing. Children’s activities are offered at our traditional and informal Sunday services and at other services and social groups throughout the week. We also offer special courses run in small groups for anyone wanting to learn more about the Christian faith and what it means to know Jesus.

Everyone, no matter how small or how old, church-going or not, is welcome at St Peter’s. We look forward to seeing you.
